Royal Botanic Gardens Annual Report
Concept
The brief asked for the design of a functional, engaging, and memorable annual report publication for the Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria.
The intended purpose was to develop an engaging publication that presented the organisation’s affairs in an informative, yet visually compelling way. The design was also to be representative of the RBGV’s mission, and values to capture its personality, culture and identity and act as a form of communication to build interest in the readers.
The outcome was a sophisticated and moody visual direction, quite a different approach for the RBGV. The publication captures the garden’s sense of innovation and forward thinking as it seeks new ways to move into the modern space, with new initiatives such as the contemporary art exhibition, ‘Seeing the Invisible.’
